About us
Un Papel Menos is a private service for immigration procedures in Spain, in Barcelona and online. Before we start, we tell you which procedure fits your situation and what it costs, and a member of the team follows your file until the decision.
What Un Papel Menos is
We are a private service for immigration procedures in Spain. We help you with arraigo (residence based on your ties to Spain), renewals, procedures for family members, family reunification, long-term residence and appeals for reconsideration.
We want your procedure to take up as little space as possible in your life: less time, fewer doubts and fewer trips back and forth. You gather the documents we ask for and go to the fingerprinting appointment. We review, prepare and follow your application file.
Why we are called this
“Un Papel Menos” means “one less paper” in Spanish. The name plays on the Spanish expression un problema menos (“one less problem”). Each procedure we prepare with you is one less piece of paperwork for you to deal with. And one less paper is one less worry.
We don’t say procedures are easy: they aren’t. What we try to do is make them simpler for you.
What we are not
- We are not the authorities. We are not the Oficina de Extranjería (the government immigration office), the Policía Nacional (Spain’s national police), the Subdelegación del Gobierno (the central government’s local office), the Generalitat (the Government of Catalonia) or your town hall. We have no connection with them.
- We are not a gestoría or a law firm. We are a private service for immigration procedures. If your case has to go to court, we tell you: you need a lawyer.
- We don’t sell appointments. We don’t get them for you either. You book the appointment yourself, and booking it costs nothing.
- We don’t decide on your application. The decision always rests with the authorities. Our job is to make sure your file arrives complete and well explained.
Where we are
In Barcelona and online. We work from Barcelona. We help you by WhatsApp, phone, email or video call, wherever you live in Spain. We don’t have a space open to the public.
Fingerprinting for the TIE (foreigner identity card) is always done in person, by you. That part is yours.
Which languages we speak
Spanish, English, Catalan, French and Chinese. The website is in Spanish, English, Catalan, French and Chinese.
How we work, in four lines
- You tell us about your situation on WhatsApp, by phone or with the form.
- We tell you which procedure fits your situation, which documents you need and what it costs.
- We prepare your application file with your documents and make sure it is complete.
- We follow it until the decision and let you know about every development.
You’ll find all the details in how we work.
What you can check
You can check these commitments on the website and in writing:
- Fixed price, VAT included. We publish the price of each procedure on our prices page. We confirm it in writing before we start.
- Government fees separate and itemised. We tell you the form, the amount and the estimated total cost.
- Documents only through a secure channel. Never on WhatsApp or by email. If we need any, we tell you how to send them.
- No promises about results or timeframes. We can’t assure you of the outcome, because it depends on the authorities. We tell you what depends on us and what doesn’t.
- Information with sources and dates. Each procedure page shows its legislation, its government sources and the date it was reviewed.
- Use of AI declared. The texts on this website are written with the help of artificial intelligence, and each page says so. AI does not decide anything about your case.
Who is behind it
You won’t see names or photos of the team on the website. A member of the team helps you, and we sign as “Equipo de Un Papel Menos” (the Un Papel Menos team).
The details of the owner of the service (name, tax ID number and address) are in the legal notice.
We don’t publish reviews or testimonials for now either. We don’t make them up.
Private service. We are not the authorities or a public body, and we don't sell appointments. We help you with your procedure; the decision always rests with the authorities.
Written with the help of AI and reviewed by the Un Papel Menos team on 13 October 2026.
